That aren’t Main Street
If you are anything like me you adore Disney’s Magic Kingdom firework show but, you don’t adore crowds. Racing to get a spot on Main Street and being packed in can be quite a damper on your ‘Happily Ever After’ viewing experience. Here are my favorite spots for a good view with elbow room.
- Adventureland Bridge
The bridge in this area extends from Frontierland to Liberty Square. I would say any spot along the bridge is about the same as any other. Yes, you give up seeing the show on the castle, but you can’t beat the reflection over the water.
2. Behind the Castle
This spot is very often forgotten about. While, again, you can not see the graphics on the castle this is certainly the most prime spot to see the fireworks themselves since they are launched behind the castle.
3. Disney’s Contemporary Resort Sky Way Bridge
Yes, this one is outside of the park. However, you can take the monorail to and from this spot. A distant view of the show is a different type of magic. This is one of the few spots you can get a drink while enjoying the show since Magic Kingdom is a dry park.
The Contemporary is an awesome spot to watch the fireworks! Great post!
The bridge is where I saw the fireworks for the first time. Underrated spot in my book.
Don’t forget the beaches at the Polynesian! Top hint- grab a beverage or stop by Trader Sam’s first.
